De Brock is pleased to announce its second edition of 鈥淚n Focus鈥�, a new series of small exhibitions presenting three works by one artist in our front space.
A completely self-taught artist, Julian Pace's world is populated by behemoths of art history, pop culture and sports. His distinct visual perspective and skillful figuration renders the work immediately recognizable.
Building on his reputation for transforming familiar cultural symbols into objects of contemplation, Pace鈥檚 new body of work extends beyond mere likeness to evoke memory, fandom, and the collective language of sports.
The presentation includes three paintings from Pace's ongoing "Formula One" car series, all painted in 2024. The opening date coincides with the Zoute Grand Prix, a much anticipated annual five-day automotive festival.
