Masterpiece a Month: Presiding Genius

The Gallery celebrates its 200th year with an astonishing international loan exhibition. Masterpiece A Month: Presiding Genius will feature a loan masterpiece every month in star position at the end of the Gallery鈥檚 enfilade.
January: Sir Thomas Lawrence, Portrait of Sir John Soane
February: Diego Vel谩zquez, El buf贸n don Sebasti谩n de Morra
March: Johannes Vermeer, A Lady at the Virginals with a Gentleman (鈥楾he Music Lesson鈥�)
April: El Greco, The Vision of Saint John
May: Paolo Veronese, Venere e Mercurio presentano a Giove Anteros ed Eros
June: Rembrandt Harmensz. van Rijn, Rembrandt鈥檚 son Titus dressed as a monk
July: Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, Comtesse d鈥橦aussonville
August: Vincent van Gogh, Self-Portrait with Felt Hat
September: Thomas Gainsborough, Mrs. Richard Brinsley Sheridan
October: John Constable, RA, The Leaping Horse
November: David Hockney, Mr and Mrs Clark and Percy
December: Domenichino, The Adoration of the Shepherds
Each month will include an accompanying lecture
