Thanks to the generous support of Francesca Habsburg, daughter of Baron Hans Heinrich Thyssen-Bornemisza, the Leopold Museum proudly presents a selection of classical modern artworks. The paintings are exhibited as long term loans on the Museum鈥檚 top floor since June 2007. Presented in the very midst of the Museum鈥檚 permanent exhibition, 14 masterpieces of Expressionism, Cubism and Russian Constructivism emphasize the significance of international classical modern art for the Leopold Collection. Amongst the artists shown in the "Thyssen-Room" are
August Macke, Ernst-Ludwig Kirchner,
Karl Schmidt-Rottluff,
Emil Nolde,
Arthur Segal,
Gino Severini, Fernand Leg茅r,
Xenia Ender,
Marie Vassilieff, Frantisek Kupka.
