Nature鈥檚 Wild with Andil Gosine (RETURNS)
Paul Petro Contemporary Art presents solo and collaborative works by Andil Gosine with Llanor Alleyne, Romy Ceppetelli, Bev Koski, Zachari Logan, Angie Quick, Deborah Root, Marinna Shareef and Natalie Wood.
As a whole, Nature's Wild with Andil Gosine (RETURNS) is about our animalities. In each piece, the artist contends with his costs of discipline - including chosen self-discipline - throughout his life. For instance, the installation Lifetime Achievement (2025) includes collaborations with Romy Ceppetelli, Bev Koski and Zachari Logan, and answers the question "what happened to the boy in the postcard?" Pulled between our natural desires (represented by the flora, the chickens and the bushes in the original photo), and the promise of progress and discipline (the concrete stairs), where did he end up?
