New Cycles Vol. II

Nov 26, 2015 - Dec 16, 2015

Julie M. Gallery is pleased to present New Cycles Vol. II, a three-artist exhibition in celebration of a wonderful 2015 and the arrival of the holiday season. We are proud to welcome guest artist Jonathan Dunkelman, whose approach to minimalism and colour creates a strong dialogue with works by Jiri Ladocha and Gideon Tomaschoff.

Following the great success of Ladocha’s recent solo exhibition, In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated, this show includes a number of pieces that illustrate the artist’s interest in exploring the canvas as support medium, as much as colour and composition. Creating three-dimensional canvases, Ladocha attempts to bridge the gap between painting and sculpture.

Tomaschoff’s work is deeply rooted in his understanding of time and personal memory, and informed by his travels through Latin America and the Middle East. These pieces provide a glimpse into his anticipated solo exhibition, which will take place in 2016.
