ONLINE: Spring Highlights

May 03, 2021 - Jun 10, 2021

Presenting a curated selection of Modern, Post-War and Contemporary Art currently on view at our New York Gallery. This exhibition showcases the highlights from our inventory, including the most recent acquisitions the gallery has on view for the first time. For instance, La Foule - a major bronze sculpture by Jean Lambert-Rucki, executed between 1923 and 1925, which embodies some of the main aesthetic principles of an early Art Deco style with its monochromatic color and cubist-inspired form and simplified facial features. Or two works by Pablo Picasso that represent just some of the extraordinary diversity of the last 13 years of his life: Homme et Femme Assise is an ink drawing on the card used to pack shirts, and Centaure Phallique II is a small land quirky sculpture in 23 carat gold. We also have figurative works on paper by Marino Marini, David Hockney, and Milton Avery; as well as outstanding  abstract paintings by Jon Schueler, Norman Bluhm, and Martyn Brewster. The works by Danielle Frankenthal, Iris Kufert-Rivo, and Martin Brouillette represent the highlights from Flowing Forms, our most recent Contemporary Exhibition.
