Our perception of color derives from the stimulation of cone cells in the human eye by electromagnetic radiation in the visible spectrum. Color categories and physical specifications of color are associated with objects through the wavelength of the light that is reflected in them. Pop of Color highlights that relationship and the power of color which at times pops, sizzles, dazzles and dominates. The artists involved in this exhibition are masters of manipulating and highlighting our relationship with color.
