Propeller III

May 04, 2023 - Jul 28, 2023

With PROPELLER I (lat.: propellere 鈥渢o propel forward鈥), a biennial exhibition format began in 2019, each of which aims to reflect on current events at Austrian art academies. How do young artists work today in the fields of photography and new media?

On the one hand, Fotogalerie Wien wants to make student work visible to a broader audience, and on the other hand, it wants to give students the opportunity to get to know the exhibition business better.

The PROPELLER III Biennial 2023 will now be extended to include Hungarian submissions and will be presented at the Austrian Cultural Forum Budapest as well as in Veszpr茅m and Als贸枚rs in Hungary. The PROPELLER Biennial is programmed for the first time as a cross-border cooperation with the Budapest Photo Festival and the director of the M疟v茅szetek H谩za, Veszpr茅m and shows young student positions from Austria and Hungary. A dialogue 鈥 an exchange of ideas.
