Reactions: Intervention in the collection
For the 200th anniversary of the Kunstverein, the Kunsthalle has invited the BBK Bremen (Berufsverband Bildender K眉nstler*innen Bremen) to present its annual show at the museum. A collaborative effort, the exhibition will display a selection of contemporary Bremen positions in the galleries that house the Remix show. The 16 selected artists will enter into a close artistic discourse with the collection, the history of the Kunstverein, and the architecture of the building.
The show brings together works of selected artists with those of the institution in an area of contrasting contexts that promotes tension between encountering, seeing and provocation. It will generate productive contradictions and delve into issues regarding identity and the future.
