鈥楻epeater鈥� refers to a hard- or software device that amplifies a signal in some way. While in EDP it is nothing

more than a program to deliver multiple execution, in communication technology the repeater increases the

range of a signal.

And the art? We understand the artists on this exhibition as 鈥榬epeaters鈥� who, are of course seeking more to

achieve more with their works 鈥� in which the principles of serialization are reflected 鈥搕han mere repetition.

The German for 鈥榬epeat鈥� is 鈥榳iederholen鈥�, which literally means 鈥榝etch back again鈥�. And as 鈥榬epeaters鈥� in this

sense, they have constant and repeated recourse to elements and processes, using them to create new

forms and structures that build on the same; these new forms and structures are intended to counteract

the monotony of industrial serial production. In the process, universal laws are touched upon no less than

traditional handicraft, information technology, delusion and passion.

With repeater the Galerie Kai Erdmann is resuming its exhibition activity. Fetching it back. So 鈥榬epetition鈥� is

programmatic in a dual sense: Avanti!
