Works featured in Revision exist as paintings, photographs, sculptures, site-specific installations, and hybrid forms that propose new uses for domestic objects, symbols of nostalgia, historical artifacts, and tools of perception. Bound by the spirit of exploration, works on view propose a reconsideration of 鈥渙rdinariness鈥� by reassembling found discarded personal items, playfully juxtaposing industrial and commonplace materials, and experimenting with visual language and meaning-making.
The exhibition is curated in collaboration with Durden and Ray, a cohort of artists and curators who work together to create opportunities for artists and are committed both to individual praxis and to shared aims of curatorial experimentation, visual research, and artistic exchange with international partners.
