Sea Lava Circle: Works from the P茅tur Arason & Ragna R贸bertsd贸ttir Collection
i8 Gallery is pleased to present Sea Lava Circle: Works from the P茅tur Arason and Ragna R贸bertsd贸ttir Collection, which will be on view at the gallery from 16 June to 30 July 2022, with an opening reception this Thursday, 16 June from 5-7pm.
This exhibition features a selection of works from more than five decades of collecting by P茅tur Arason and his wife Ragna R贸bertsd贸ttir, an artist who has shown with i8 since 1996. Forged through the close relationships that the couple has established with artists, the collection includes sculpture, painting, photography, and works on paper, all of which find common theme in their conceptual and minimal nature. Sea Lava Circle takes its title from a floor sculpture by Richard Long that is central to the exhibition.
