厂艒蝉补办耻-贬补苍驳补
The 厂艒蝉补办耻-贬补苍驳补 or "creative print" movement in Japan came into its own during the first half of the 20th century. In contrast to the traditional Japanese collaborative method of printmaking, the 厂艒蝉补办耻-贬补苍驳补 artists advocated for an art form based on personal expression. The images they created were therefore designed, carved and printed all by the artist's own hand.
This exhibition will feature works by Kaoru Kawano, Haku Maki, Yoshitoshi Mori, Hiroyuki Tajima, Rikio Takahashi, Kiyoshi Saito, Jun'ichiro Sekino, and Sadao Watanabe.
