Pedro Cera is pleased to present a Summer Show, featuring new and recent works by Anna Hula?ová, Bruno Pacheco, Ilê Sartuzi, Isabel Cordovil and Oliver Laric. The exhibition brings together an array of artistic mediums and expressions, encompassing contemporary themes of mutation, representation, theatricality, and symbolic idioms of visuality. Recurring to concepts of hybridism in a post-industrialized world, Anna Hula?ová’s (b.1984, Czech Republic) work thematizes the inextricable relation of the subject with a totally fluid and multi-mediated reality. Uniting themes from science-fiction to folkloric culture, her practice employs elements of classical sculpture in a dialogue with current contexts, creating a conceptual framework that seeks to critically unite the past with the future.
