Textile Study Group of New York: Connections
The Textile Study Group of New York (TSGNY) and Ceres Gallery are pleased to present Connections, an exhibition that embodies a broad understanding of what artistic connections can be: connections between materials, between people, between ourselves and nature. This powerful exhibition also gives audiences the ability to witness the diversity of styles and techniques, in both two and three dimensional work, of TSGNY artists.
This year, the TSGNY celebrates the 45th anniversary of its founding by six original artists who were intent upon delving deeper into the textile arts. Now in its fifth decade, TSGNY鈥檚 mandate has not changed but its membership has grown exponentially. In addition to its core program of monthly lectures, TSGNY supports an expansive series of projects and activities and regularly collaborates with international artists and exhibition venues.
