The Fiber Matrix: Quilters of Color Network of New York
The Fiber Matrix is a collection of works that represent the versatility of textiles and the myriad of ways they can be used to create objects of utility, works of art and pedagogical instruments and facilitate thought provoking dialogue about a variety of contemporary and historical topics.
The exhibit illustrates an awareness of how our socio-political landscape can be interpreted in the context of a textile installation, in the same way these themes are expressed in traditional fine art.
