The Land We Love

22 Mar, 2018 - 04 May, 2018
The exhibition "The Land We Love", which opens on the 22nd of March, will present Israeli naive art that proves it is possible to create something unique within the difficult political discourse of Israel.
For the 70th anniversary of the State of Israel, Gina Gallery of International Na茂ve Art, will dedicate the exhibition "The Land We Love", to the artworks of local, Israeli naive artists. The exhibition will celebrate the entry of our conflict-ridden country, into its eighth decade of existence, with colorful and harmonious artworks.
Israel is a melting pot of cultures, communities and religions. These diverse influences, combined with the unique history of the country, has shaped her multi-faceted narrative. Each of the na茂ve artists participating in the exhibition "The Land We Love" has a fascinating story to share, a story that is driven from the artist's origin, his personal past, and his immediate surroundings. The artworks that will be displayed are full of joy, inspiration, imagination and humor, as well as a loving observation of a young, free and flourishing country. This exhibition will hopefully generate optimism in the viewer, and will show that it is possible, and even necessary to create na茂ve art in a region fraught with conflicts, maybe more so than in other places in the world.
