Sla307 Art Space is pleased to announce a group exhibition entitled VNO-NYC on display from December 14, 2017 to January 4, 2018. Participating artists are either Vilnius based or New York-based. Sharing a unique microcosm of Lithuanian heritage their existence in the contemporary art vernacular absolves either party from marginalization yet questions their place in it. This exhibition is an exchange that innately explores the question surrounding geography and making. In a world moving towards globalization, and artists becoming even more fluid, complexities of identity shift and reform multiplying new platforms for discourse. Works range in mediums and include paintings, video art, drawings multimedia, photography, metals, and glass.
