A selection of 64 French 18th and 19th century drawings from the holdings of the Fondation Custodia is shown in The Frick Collection in New York. On view until 10 January 2010, the exhibition includes drawings and watercolours by well-known masters of the French School, including
Watteau, Boucher,
Fragonard, David, Corot,
Delacroix,
Ingres and Degas, as well as by important artists who may be less familiar to the general public. This is the first public exhibition in the States to focus on the French eighteenth- and nineteenth-century works on paper from the Collection Frits Lugt. The exhibition was organised by the Frick鈥檚 Associate Director and Peter Jay Sharp Chief Curator Colin B.
