Ways and Means
Ways and Means is curated by Jason Andrew and presents a diverse selection of 25 artists whose paintings, sculpture, assemblage, and collage bare the evidence of how they were made. Whether by carving, pouring, throwing, reclaiming, tearing, or gluing, each artist maintains an open dialogue with the process of making. Process informs and shapes their imagery. It dictates how these artists鈥 imagery is conceived 鈥 not the other way around. Some artists allow chance and others rely on memory to play its part in the act, yet each unique work yields the unexpected. The dramatic process by which artists make art is what this exhibition explores.
