tectonic industries: The desire to stay versus the inevitability of change

01 Feb, 2008 - 29 Mar, 2008
In their largest project to date, tectonic industries (comprised of Helen Stringfellow and Lars Jerlach), in collaboration with cinematographer Evan Drolet Cook, will premier a 16-monitor video installation that deconstructs Alfred Hitchcock`s famed film The Birds. The desire to stay versus the inevitability of change explores the artifice inherent within the creation of modern myths in popular culture. By referencing a universally regarded film, tectonic industries explores the notion of constructed realities and artificial dialogue.
