Concord Center for the Visual Arts or in short, Concord Art, was founded nearly a century ago by Elizabeth Wentworth Roberts (EWR), a well known American Impressionist painter and philanthropist whose original mission stands today. We hold 8 exhibitions annually, including one open juried show and two members juried shows, two exhibits in partnership with local Concord high schools, and three curated exhibitions. Our permanent collection of leading early 20th century artists includes the paintings by EWR as well as other artists who have had a direct influence on the organization, including Mary Ogden Abbott, Roger W. Curtis, Daniel Chester French, Jean Francois Millet, and John Trumbull.
