New City Art 08 Nov, 2024The show is a part of the series of shows at the Art Institute this fall and winter imagining Panafrica, an imaginary world that unites all those of African descent in order to 鈥渁chieve freedom and define a sense of place in the modern world,鈥� according to the didactic material.
The Art Institute of Chicago kicks off Panafrica Across Chicago, an unprecedented series of exhibitions and events throughout the year and around the city, exploring cultural Pan-Africanism from 1900 to the present and across four continents.
