"鈥淧aint鈥� Alexandria is an all media plein air event. For two days, 12 of our outstanding Art League instructors will spread across historic Old Town Alexandria, Virginia and lead instructional sessions and demonstrations for artists, and the public is invited to attend. 鈥淧aint鈥� Alexandria is open to artists of all media and all skill levels. For $40 on Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18, artists may attend an unlimited number of sessions. Instructors will hold demonstrations, lectures, and workshops in 鈥減lein-air鈥� painting in watercolor, oil, and abstract landscape painting, photography, sketching, and drawing. Morning and afternoon sessions are offered, each two hours in duration. Sessions will be held along the Old Town Alexandria waterfront, or just a brief free trolley ride away in upper Old Town. This unique cultural event is free to the public, and it allows visitors to observe and interact with artists working in a distinctive, historic environment.
