Arte Moderna e Contemporanea: Antologia Scelta 2023
Once again, Tornabuoni Arte renews its annual appointment with its Antologia, a selection of the most important modern and contemporary artworks chosen by the gallery over the last year. This anthological exhibition will be held in our two Italian galleries: in Florence (Lungarno Cellini, 3), from Thursday, December 1, at 6 pm, and in Milan (Via Fatebenefratelli, 36), from Tuesday, December 13, at 5.30 pm.
This exhibition offers all visitors, from collectors to art lovers alike, the opportunity to retrace the most significant moments in the last two centuries of the history of Art, through the masterpieces of some of its main protagonists. Tornabuoni Arte鈥檚 galleries are open to everyone and, thanks to founder Roberto Casamonti, they stand out for a tireless and careful spirit of research. With this in mind, Antologia 2023 comes with a publication 鈥 and a rich photographic apparatus 鈥 that delves into some of the themes of this extraordinary collection. The volume is introduced by art historian Sonia Zampini, who authors the essay titled Art in the Making of History. As Zampini points out in her text, the fil rouge of this exhibition is the deep connection between Art History and History, the evolution of languages, with 鈥渢he succession of social, cultural, and ideal conditions, but also [with] intimate, personal stories鈥 that give rise to a broad pictorial fresco with 鈥渘umerous narrative plots鈥.
