Benjamin Rondel: Border Line
Border Line is a series of photographs that address the dual nature of borders: both as sites of strict control and of environmental porousness. Taking the Canada-U.S. border as the focus of this project, I work in locations where borders are delineated not by check points or walls or guards, but by farmers鈥 fences, sign posts, bodies of water, strips of grass. The same national border manifests differently in every landscape. Text by Alison Cooley
