100 Grams: Edition 2 is a series of 100 unique porcelain objects exploring the relationship between desirability and function. Each piece begins with exactly 100 grams of clay, serving as a strict starting point for an investigation into form and drawing, and the ways in which they influence each other. Every piece is hand-formed and hand-painted, resulting in individual works intrinsically connected through their shared starting point.
The pieces are displayed as an installation arranged in a 10 by 10 grid. As pieces from the edition are sold, only their numbers will remain on the plinth鈥攕erving as a reminder of their place within the complete edition.
The exhibition also features a limited edition of screen prints based on photographs of the objects. Each print captures a detail from the original works and offers another way to experience them beyond their three-dimensional form.
