An exhibition of paintings by Jackie Edwards celebrating the life and work of Frida Kahlo will run in Gormleys Fine Art.
Edwards鈥 paintings are the study of character and dynamic found in the human figurative form, creating beautiful, ethereal portraits which use the interplay between light and shadow to create dramatic pieces. Her newest series of paintings focus on the life and work of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo (1907 鈥 1954) who was mainly known for her portraits, self-portraits, and works inspired by the nature and artefacts of Mexico.
