Los Angeles based artist, Nancy Braver鈥檚 solo exhibition, 鈥淢ATTERING鈥�, is her second solo show at Another Year in LA.
At Another Year in LA, we are big fans of FaceBook as a cultural phenomenon. Besides sharing vacation and family photos, favorite meals, we believe that FB actually is also a platform for artmaking.
Nancy Braver is one of those artists. For over three years, she has been periodically posting simple as well as
elegant photographs of the sky. Since she lives in Los Angeles, presumably these photographs are of the LA sky but because there is nothing else in these pictures, there is no way to reference where in the world she is when making these. And that really doesn鈥檛 matter because they are essentially global.
It is this simplicity and elegance that drew our interest to exhibit these photographs! They are specific, poetic and speak to hopefulness.
