Prospect.5: Yesterday We Said Tomorrow. New Orleans' Contemporary Art Triennial
This Fall, museums, cultural spaces, and public sites throughout New Orleans will host the long-awaited return of Prospect New Orleans Triennial exhibition with Prospect.5: "Yesterday we said tomorrow." The CAC鈥檚 first and second floor galleries will feature exciting works by leading contemporary artists from around the world.
Curated by Artistic Directors Naima J. Keith and Diana Nawi, P.5 features an intergenerational group of artists f rom the United States, the Caribbean, Africa, and Europe, and will include both existing and newly-commissioned projects. P.5 will examine the ways in which the past informs the present, and will take a nuanced approach to history as a form of haunting and as a presence held in the land. Acknowledging time as cyclical and layered, rather than linear, the exhibition presents a range of artistic practices that attend to history as an ever-present specter in the individual and collective consciousness.
