Suzy Sureck: Tread Lightly
Suzy Sureck: Tread Lightly is a multi-disciplinary installation that draws on the language of trees to create an immersive experience featuring sound, video, text, and image. The exhibition explores the sophisticated system of communication that trees and forests rely on, through roots and tendrils, to support the survival of the land. The sound for this project was created using an Arduino measuring the conductivity data of root systems and the presentation鈥檚 text, which weaves in and out of the composition, was written and spoken by Suzy Sureck. Photographs of montaged roots are rearranged, animated, and projected.
