Under Fire
In solidarity with Palestine, Darat al Funun presents a display of drawings by four artists in Gaza.
Under daily bombardments and forced displacement, artists in Gaza did not stop drawing.
Deprived of water, electricity, fuel, and food, they draw with dry ball pens on school notebooks, medical packages, old paper, using natural dyes, tea, pomegranates, and karkade. They bear witness to the genocidal war they are living, with no end in sight.
Under Fire is a display of drawings by Basil, Raed, Majed, and Sohail, salvaged from the fire of war.
