Untitled Title
Hong Jungpyo鈥檚 three-dimensional work has a certain 鈥渄oubt鈥 about its form. The works appear to be clear and neat, but they also evoke a random situation that seems to be in the middle of an unfinished process, as if some parts have fallen off from something. Perhaps the two 鈥 a neat appearance and an arbitrary situation 鈥 coexist in tension, which can be said to be 鈥渢he other side鈥 of each other rather than 鈥渄ifferent.鈥
鈥楬idden Edge鈥 is a series of works that Hong Jungpyo started in 2013, and it served as a tool of asking himself questions such as 鈥淲hat is art?鈥 or 鈥淲hat makes a good sculptor?鈥 to which he continuously strives to answer.
