Hong Jungpyo鈥檚 three-dimensional work has a certain 鈥渄oubt鈥� about its form. The works appear to be clear and neat, but they also evoke a random situation that seems to be in the middle of an unfinished process, as if some parts have fallen off from something. Perhaps the two 鈥� a neat appearance and an arbitrary situation 鈥� coexist in tension, which can be said to be 鈥渢he other side鈥� of each other rather than 鈥渄ifferent.鈥�
鈥楬idden Edge鈥� is a series of works that Hong Jungpyo started in 2013, and it served as a tool of asking himself questions such as 鈥淲hat is art?鈥� or 鈥淲hat makes a good sculptor?鈥� to which he continuously strives to answer.
