Amos Rex

Amos Rex is an art museum where the past, present and future meet. A new private art museum with unique architecture will be opened in central Helsinki at the end of August 2018. Amos Rex will be a meeting place for art and urban culture, consisting of new underground exhibition spaces, the old Lasipalatsi (glass palace) from 1936 and its Bio Rex cinema, as well as a vibrant event forum on Lasipalatsi Square, which will serve as the roof of the exhibition hall. Amos Rex鈥檚 exhibition programme will extend from the newest, often experimental, contemporary art to 20th-century Modernism and ancient cultures.

This autumn, Amos Rex will present a major solo exhibition by Leandro Erlich (b. 1973, Buenos Aires) 鈥� his first in Finland and the Nordics. Erlich is an internationally acclaimed artist whose works inhabit the boundary between reality and illusion.

Next Friday, 12 September 2025, Amos Rex will conclude the summer season with an exceptional retrospective exhibition, 24 hours with Tony Cokes, which unfolds across several spaces around the museum.
