In memory of Susanna Heller: A conversation with Mira Schor, Nancy Bowen, Medrie MacPhee
Two Coats of Paint 15 Jun, 2023Susanna Heller and I have been friends going all the way back to the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design [NASCAD] in Halifax from which I graduated in 1976, and Susanna in 1977.
One day in May 2021, two weeks after the Brooklyn-based painter Susanna Heller died, three friends of long-standing met at her apartment in Greenpoint.
Before Susanna Heller鈥檚 paintings were wrapped and shipped to Toronto for her upcoming solo show at Olga Korper, I brought Sharon Butler by her studio, which straddles the line between Greenpoint and Williamsburg.
