Isaac Pelayo: Still Smiling
On Thursday, June 24th, we are excited to present Isaac Pelayo鈥檚 Still Smiling. The new series features an exclusive selection of original oil paintings and hand-finished prints which will be available on the Guy Hepner Shop from 2pm EST.
Born in Los Angeles, CA, on June 7th, 1996, Isaac picked up a pencil at a tender age and discovered a profound passion. He was compelled to mirror his father and fellow fine artist, Antonio Pelayo Jr., but produce art of his own in the process. This mastery behind Pelayo鈥檚 figurative faces and deliberate obstruction of people transcends time, beginning with his devotions to artists of the Italian Renaissance and Baroque Era with inspirations Leonardo Di Vinci and the playful Rembrandt of Dutchland.
The series, Still Smiling, showcases two hand-finished works on paper, Fuck I鈥檓 In Love and Somebody Pray For Me. Each edition of ten is uniquely painted by the artist with acrylic paint 鈥� so no two are the same. In addition, three original paintings will be on offer which is exclusive to Guy Hepner.
