Modern and Contemporary Masterworks from Malba - Fundaci贸n Costantini is part of an ongoing exchange between the MFAH and Malba - Fundaci贸n Costantini, Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires (Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires). This eye-opening exhibition brings to North America works by many key avant-garde Latin American artists who pioneered modern art in their own countries or participated in the principle European movements. Visitors are invited to discover and explore masterworks by Argentina's Antonio Berni and Xul Solar; Brazilian artists Tarsila do Amaral and C芒ndido Portinaro; Chile's Roberto Matta; Mexico's Miguel Covarrubias; and Uruguay鈥檚 Joaqu铆n Torres-Garc铆a, among others. An illustrated catalogue offering insights into the broad range of modern and contemporary art created in Latin America accompanies the exhibition.
